Purpose of the Role
The Business Development Project Manager will support Bright Bridge Connect with the development of existing services and the acquisition of new business opportunities, in line with organisational strategy and growth objectives. The role focuses on managing business opportunities, partnership development, and procurement processes to support sustainable growth.
The post holder will work collaboratively with senior leadership, operational colleagues, and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
Identify and assess opportunities for growth in line with Bright Bridge Connect's strategic objectives.
Monitor relevant portals and channels for new business and partnership opportunities.
Support the identification and progression of new service and contract opportunities.
Project & Procurement Management
Project manage tender and procurement processes from opportunity identification through to submission.
Coordinate contributions from internal teams to ensure timely and high-quality submissions.
Support the preparation, review, and submission of bids, tenders, and grant applications.
Manage timelines and ensure compliance with submission requirements.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Build effective working relationships with internal teams to support business development activity.
Support engagement with external stakeholders including local authorities, commissioners, and partner organisations.
Represent Bright Bridge Connect at relevant meetings, briefings, and events where appropriate.
Research & Market Insight
Undertake research and market analysis to inform business development decisions.
Support benchmarking and trend analysis to inform future growth opportunities.
Contribute to the development of internal resources and examples of good practice.
General
Maintain accurate records and reporting related to business development activity.
Support senior leadership with ad-hoc projects aligned to organisational growth.
Undertake other duties appropriate to the role and stage of the organisation.
Person Specification
Essential Experience & Knowledge
Experience supporting or delivering business development activity, tenders, or bids.
Understanding of procurement processes and working with external stakeholders.
Knowledge of the social care, housing, voluntary, or public sector environment.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines effectively.
Skills
Strong written communication skills, including drafting structured documentation.
Good verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong organisational and planning skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Confident using standard computer software and online portals.
